Whistleblowers from the IRS alleged that the Justice Department of the Biden administration had interfered with the investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes, making excuses for not treating the Biden family crimes seriously because they dislike investigations near elections.
Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, US Representative Jason Smith (R-Missouri), released five new shocking documents on Thursday that demonstrate the extent of government malfeasance in the United States.
In a press conference about the hearing, Smith told the press that “whistleblowers claim the Biden Department of Justice is intervening and overstepping when it comes to investigating the president’s son,” adding:
“Recurring unjustified delays pervaded the investigation, including authenticating a WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden demands payment from Chinese officials, noting that his father is in the room.”

“Despite what whistleblowers described as a clear-cut case for tax liability on these payments, IRS investigators say they found themselves hamstrung, internally,” Smith reported, adding:
“The testimony we have just released details a lack of US attorney independence, recurring unjustified delays, unusual actions outside the normal course of any investigation, a lack of transparency across the investigation and prosecution teams, and bullying and threats from the defense counsel.”
Smith described the action by the Biden officials as a “campaign of delay, divulge, and deny.”
According to the whistleblowers, the investigation was plagued by recurrent delays, including the authentication of a WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden demands payment from Chinese officials and mentions that his father is present.
The Millenial Post reported additional information from a previous hearing whistleblower.
Gary Shapley, a supervisory special agent with IRS Criminal Investigation, told the Ways and Means Committee on May 26, 2023, “Since October 2022, IRS CI has taken every opportunity to retaliate against my team and me.”
“Even after IRS CI senior leadership has been made aware on a recurring basis that the Delaware US Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice was acting improperly, they acquiesced to a DOJ request to remove the entire team from the Hunter Biden investigation, a team that had been investigating it for over 5 years.”
Shapley stated that he was “blowing the whistle” due to the fact that the “Delaware US Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice Tax, and Department of Justice provided preferential treatment and unchecked conflicts of interest in an important and high-profile investigation of the President’s son, Hunter Biden.”
