Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has made headlines recently due to ethical issues surrounding some of his overseas business transactions, and whether or not his father is aware of or has participated in those operations.
Hunter Biden might be charged with a crime for not registering as a foreign agent while conducting business abroad, according to a new Breitbart News article.
Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor to Breitbart and president of the Government Accountability Institute, published Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption in 2018 and 2020, respectively.
Each book debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list and revealed how Hunter and Joe Biden traveled to China in 2013 on Air Force Two ten days before Hunter’s company signed a $1.5 billion contract with a Bank of China subsidiary.
The Biden family’s other substantial and lucrative international dealings and cronyism were also revealed by Schweizer’s study.
Emma-Jo Morris, a political editor for Breitbart, and Miranda Devine’s investigation into the “laptop from hell” of Hunter Biden made headlines around the world when they discovered Joe Biden was closely involved in the scion’s businesses and appeared to have a ten percent stake in a firm the scion founded with top Chinese Communist Party officials (CCP).
“More than 150 financial transactions involving either Hunter or James Biden’s global business affairs were flagged as concerning by U.S. banks for further review.” according to CBS News.
Hunter Biden and his father, the President, have not been charged as of yet in relation to the many claims.
However, it has recently come to light that perhaps the federal organizations set up particularly to address such activities are covering up the dealings.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) asserted that “very reliable” informants told him that the FBI and the Justice Department were making steps to minimize or ignore material that was unfavorable to Hunter Biden.
The issue was covered in Grassley’s letter.
Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, allegedly complained to the FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland in letters that they had attempted to minimize or invalidate information about Hunter Biden.
“The information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation. The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter,” Grassley stated.
He continued, “First, it’s been alleged that the FBI developed information in 2020 about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity.”
“It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by an FBI Headquarters (“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease.”

Grassley’s letter further alleged that just one month before the 2020 election, “an avenue of derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed” by a senior FBI agent at the bureau’s Washington Field office.
“The allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation,” wrote Grassley.
