Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats have spent the majority of 2022 seeking to pin sky-high inflation on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A recent video has effectively debunked this claim as a fabrication.
The Washington Free Beacon published on Thursday a video of prominent Democrats attributing inflation in the United States to decisions taken by Vladimir Putin abroad.
Biden, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, current White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo were among others who used this justification.
Wednesday’s Senate Banking Committee hearing video clip has the damming portion of the footage at the conclusion.
“Would you say that the war in Ukraine is the primary driver of inflation in America?” Tennessee Republican Senator Bill Hagerty questioned Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
Powell’s comments directly contradicted the justification advanced by Democrats.
Powell stated, “No, inflation was high before, certainly before the war in Ukraine broke out.”
Powell’s role as chair of the Federal Reserve is to manipulate interest rates in an effort to improve the economy’s value.
By manipulating the value of the currency artificially, one could claim that Powell’s work is fundamentally dishonest. Nevertheless, he was unable to embrace the economic hoax propagated by many Democrats.
