The final congressional contests are being tallied to decide who will hold the House of Representatives for the upcoming two years, and over a week after Election Day, the nation is still on edge.
However, President Joe Biden already has a hunch from halfway around the world.
And for a variety of reasons, it must be awful for him.
Following his encounter with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Biden took questions from a pre-selected group of journalists at a news conference in Indonesia on Monday, according to Fox News.
(Americans who recall how Donald Trump, Biden’s predecessor, often indulged in unrestrained exchanges with a White House press corps he knew hated his guts, find it even more revolting that Biden relies on the authoritarian practice with the lapdog liberal media.)
The Democratic obsession with “abortion rights” and, specifically, utilizing federal law to circumvent the Supreme Court judgment in June that overturned the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion throughout the United States, was one question that Fox claimed was left off the list. (The Dobbs decision of the court remitted the matter to state legislatures; Democrats dislike persons in positions of power.)
“What should Americans expect from Congress as it relates to abortion rights after the midterms?” Peter Alexander of NBC questioned.
Biden’s response was one of the few times one of his assertions was supported by fact.
“I don’t think they can expect much of anything other than we’re going to maintain our positions. I’m not getting into more questions. I shouldn’t have even answered your question,” he remarked.
“I don’t think there’s enough votes to codify unless something happens unusual in the House. I think we’re going to get very close in the House … but I don’t think we’re going to make it,” Biden said.
(Set aside for a moment who exactly is in charge of dictating when and how the president of the United States should respond to questions.) He was the biggest financial supporter to the campaign. Perhaps in the same manner that Americans only recently discovered that first lady Edith Wilson, her husband’s “president,” Woodrow Wilson, was actually in bed recovering from a stroke 100 years ago, future historians will inform future generations.)
Of course, Biden making rash statements is nothing new. And it’s probable that a White House spin team will emerge soon to assert that Biden spoke specifically about a future abortion law vs House control. However, the two are identical since the abortion-on-demand coven controls the Democratic Party.
