Adam Schiff’s Attempt to Play the Victim Blows Up in His Face When People See Right Through His Act

    Published on

Rep. Adam Schiff ought to be knowledgeable about lying about a man’s background.

The California Democrat spent the final years of the previous decade lying with a deadpan expression about there being “in plain sight” proof that then-President Donald Trump had engaged in “collusion” with Russia. This hoax failed in spite of the best efforts of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Then, on his way to being the lead in the prosecution in the first Trump impeachment process, which was founded on a pretext so flimsy it’s hardly recalled now, Schiff fabricated recorded quotes and shamelessly stage-managed inquiries.

Schiff is now claiming to be the victim in front of a complicit media while having a personal record as disgraceful as any that has been amassed on Capitol Hill and facing impending removal from the Committee he currently chairs.

Not in the way he probably had hoped, either.

In a Democratic interview with Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Nation” on Sunday, Schiff was asked about Republican Kevin McCarthy’s intentions to have him removed from the House Intelligence Committee.

McCarthy has vowed to remove Schiff and fellow California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell from the intelligence panel as he gathers support to become speaker of the House when the new Republican majority takes office in January.

Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, who has a history of anti-Semitism, will also lose her position on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, according to him.

In his Sunday conversation with Bash, Schiff used the victim narrative. He asserted that McCarthy is luring Republicans like Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, and Paul Gosar of Arizona to support him and his fellow Democrats.

McCarthy doesn’t have much room for maneuver to secure the 2018 votes required to become House speaker because there is only a tiny GOP majority.

Here is a link to the interview:

With his customary contempt for the facts, Schiff stated, “McCarthy’s problem is not with what I have said about Russia.”

More on this story via The Western Journal:

“McCarthy’s problem is, he can’t get to 218 without Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar and Matt Gaetz,” the congressman continued. “And so he will do whatever they ask. And, right now, they’re asking for me to be removed from my committees. And he’s willing to do it. He’s willing to do anything they ask.

“And that’s the problem. Kevin McCarthy has no ideology. He has no core set of beliefs. It’s very hard not only to get to 218 that way, it’s even more difficult to keep 218. That’s his problem. So, he will misrepresent my record. He’ll misrepresent Eric Swalwell or Ilhan Omar, whatever he needs to do to get the votes of the QAnon caucus within his conference.”

The “QAnon caucus” is cute, and will probably go over big with Schiff’s lefty base, but the entire quote is as deceptive as Schiff always is. CONTINUE READING…
